“I am a suburban-turned-farm kid, turned Marine Corps wife,” says Wood Ministry volunteer Tara, “and when the opportunity to chop wood to help others came up, well it was a great fit.” She further explained that just as God would have it, she knew of a family, whose daughter went to school with her sons, which was in a really bad way and could not afford groceries, let alone winter wood. CRM has stepped in and begun providing wood for the family. “It is hard to believe that not all of out neighbors have the basics, what they need, not want.”, continued Tara. “Sometimes I cut wood with the splitter, sometimes I deliver the wood and sometimes I do other things, like make phone calls. It takes so little to help in such a basic way….and I can do that.”
