The trees have turned color and the wood stoves are starting to billow smoke. The Firewood Ministry is gearing up to help keep local families warm for the fall and winter. While most of our clients heat with wood to keep their electrical bills to a minimum, some live in desperate situations, where wood is the only source of heating they have. Our goal at the Firewood Ministry is not just to heat someone’s home or lower their electric bill, rather it is to convey hope by showing the love of Christ. Firewood ministry client Pat expressed it this way, “Compassion Restoration Ministries (CRM) has been a blessing to my family. It is really hard to put into words, without their help we would be cold, alone and without hope. Without y’all, and our CRM volunteer, we would be in despair! I value her friendship.”
